The RISE Institute, UNICEF and the Early Childhood Development Task Force have released the results of a global survey of inclusive early childhood development and early childhood intervention programs.
Inclusive early childhood development (IECD) and early childhood intervention (ECI) programs have a pivotal role to play in ensuring the rightful support to all children and families throughout the early childhood period.
The global survey results present information on 426 programs in 121 countries in all world regions. The report aims to: increase our knowledge on IECD and ECI programs internationally; identify gaps and challenges in providing accessible IECD and ECI services; document factors associated with successful implementation and scale-up.
Also, the authors formulated 20 recommendations that inform policy and program development as well as implementation efforts.
The survey, was designed and conducted in the period 2016-2018 and is now available in English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
